shoutout to the priest & deacons @ st vincent de paul huntington beach, I don't want your money !!

re Christmas concert,
st vincent de paul church,
east huntington beach (not near the ocean...)...nice concert,...one thing that bothered me was that when the offering plate came to our row..I had a check in hand to put in the plate but the deacon made a point of emptying the plate before passing it down our row...; also the priest is a bit overbearing...I think he's a nice guy but he is very large & doesn't need the robe & all the effects to impress or even intimidate..; think of protestant churches where most pastors just wear suits, or in some cases not even suits, but let their shirt hang out casual style (ie rick warren et al)...; i sense a bit of a corporate problem at this church even though the music and concert was nice enough..so we pray, Lord, for your presence at st vincent de paul huntington beach ...may the priest and his staff be filled with the fruits of the Spirit and trust You with all their heart, mind, and soul...and may they faithfully lead the parishioners in the faith ...for the kingdom !
